Dag 4

Like every other day I had breakfast at 9 o'clock. After breakfast we needed to clean the swimming pool and when we were finished with that we put the tables and chairs in the television room for the art hour. Because it is liberation day in the Netherlands we had some Dutch flags to put on the children's cheeks. In the art hour they made some torches from carton and paper. A lot of children showed up for this and really enjoyed it. Some children were French and one or two were English. So I talked in those languages to these children and with this I broadened my language skills a bit. After this we had some free time were we needed to discuss what we were going to do with the ball games for tomorrow. Then we went to the restaurant to eat dinner. This was at 12 o'clock. With this I learned that in France they eat dinner, when we normally eat lunch and they eat lunch when we eat dinner. With this I enriched my knowledge about the French culture. After dinner, we went to the swimming pool to set up the goals for the water polo. First kids from the ages 8-12 played, after that the mothers and fathers. Then we prepared for the Fun2Dance, which is a kind of mini disco. Isabelle and I learned some dances from the others. Then we had some free time in which we listened to music and after this we ate lunch. Then the Fun2Dance started and we danced and the children danced with us. They all really liked it. After the Fun2Dance we had to hurry to the sport field because we had to guide the soccer tournament. Many people showed up, the small ones and even some fathers joined. As next we had to clean the swimming pool again and that was it for today. It was again a very long day with lots of work to do, but now I am going to relax.
